How a Northly fare works
The Light fare plus what you choose.
Every Northly price starts with the Light fare. It covers your seat on the flight and one personal item, 40 x 30 x 20 cm under the seat. Everything else has its own clear price, and every price is on our fees page before you book. No fee appears at the gate that was not on the website first.
What you pay
- The Light fare, per passenger per one-way flight. It moves with demand and with how close to departure you book.
- Government taxes and airport charges, per departure: NOK 199 (EUR 18) from a Norwegian airport, NOK 329 (EUR 29) from London Gatwick or Edinburgh, NOK 249 (EUR 22) from every other airport.
- A bundle, if you want one. Smart, Plus and Flex add a fixed amount per passenger per flight to the Light fare. See Light, Smart, Plus or Flex.
- Extras you choose: a seat, a bag, a meal, fast track. Each is listed on the fees page.
Why it works this way
Northly is cheap because it is simple. One aircraft family, point to point, and a fare that covers the seat. If you travel with a personal item and no seat preference, you pay the Light fare and the taxes and nothing more.
Who pays what
Children aged 2 to 15 pay the same fare as adults. An infant under 2 travels on an adult's lap for NOK 279 (EUR 25) per flight. The bundle you choose applies to everyone and every flight on the booking.
Prices are per flight
A return trip is two flights. Fees marked "per passenger per flight" are charged once for each passenger on each flight. A checked bag on a return trip, for example, is bought twice.
