Claiming expenses

Receipts and caps.

If a delay or cancellation left you paying for meals, a hotel or transport that we should have provided, claim it back.

What you can claim

  • Meals, when you did not get the meal vouchers you were owed. Up to NOK 169 (EUR 15) per passenger for each voucher owed: once care is owed, one for each started 3 hours of the whole delay, counted from the scheduled departure, and one after a cancellation.
  • A hotel night, when you were kept overnight (the delayed or new flight left on a later calendar day than planned) and we could not book one. Up to NOK 1 699 (EUR 150) per passenger per night.
  • Transport between the airport and the hotel. Up to NOK 569 (EUR 50) per passenger per night.
  • Essentials while a bag is delayed: up to NOK 569 (EUR 50) per passenger per day, for up to 5 days. See Delayed bag.

What we need

  • A receipt for every item
  • The booking reference and the flight
  • Where to pay: a bank account (IBAN) or travel credit

Claims are paid in the booking's currency, up to the amounts above.

How long it takes

We decide within 14 days of having everything we need, and pay within 7 days of approval. If something is missing, we ask for it and the claim waits until it arrives.

How to claim

  1. Ask in the chat, or open the booking in Manage booking.
  2. Add each expense with its amount and receipt.
  3. Confirm with the one-time code we send to the email address or mobile number on the booking.
  4. You get a claim number starting with CL. Use it to follow the claim.

Compensation for the delay itself is a separate claim; see Compensation under EU261. You can also write to claims@flynorthly.com.
