About Bergen

Bergen lies between seven mountains on the west coast, and the old wharf of Bryggen, with its row of wooden merchant houses, still faces the harbour. The fish market sits at the end of the quay, and the Floibanen funicular climbs Mount Floyen from a few streets away.

It rains often, and the city is used to it: bring a jacket and the walks above town are open all year. Bergen is also the start of many fjord trips by boat and by train.

At Bergen Flesland

Terminal and gate

Northly uses the airport’s one passenger building; the boarding pass shows the gate only. Bergen is a Northly base, and fast track is sold here. The gate is published 3 hours before departure, on the screens and in the booking.

To and from the city

Bergen Flesland is about 20 km south of the centre. The light rail takes about 45 minutes to the city, and the airport bus is a little quicker. Times are a rough guide; check the local operator for timetables and prices.
