About Berlin
Berlin is a large, green city of separate neighbourhoods. The Brandenburg Gate stands at the end of Unter den Linden, and the TV tower over Alexanderplatz can be seen from most of the centre; the museums on Museum Island hold collections from five thousand years.
Parts of the Wall are kept as memorials, the longest at the East Side Gallery by the river Spree. The U-Bahn, S-Bahn and trams run late, and the city is easy to explore without a car.
