Infants and children

Ages, fares, baby items and travelling under 16.

Ages count on the day of each flight.

Infants: 14 days to 23 months

  • An infant travels on an adult's lap for NOK 279 (EUR 25) per flight.
  • One infant per adult, and at most one infant per block of three seats. Never in an exit row.
  • Instead, an infant can have their own seat. They are then booked as a child: they pay the child fare, which is the same fare an adult pays, and the taxes for each departure, and the infant fee is not charged. They travel in an approved car seat that fits a seat 43 cm wide, beside the adult and never in an exit row.
  • Two baby items travel free: a stroller, a car seat or a travel cot.
  • An infant who turns 2 before the return flight needs their own seat on that flight.

Children: 2 to 15

  • Children pay the same fare as adults. This is what we mean by the child fare.
  • Children under 12 sit beside an adult from the booking at no charge. See Families.
  • A kids' box can be pre-ordered on longer flights for NOK 79 (EUR 7). See Food and drink.

Travelling under 16

Travellers under 16 must be on a booking with someone aged 16 or over on the same flights. Northly has no unaccompanied minor service. Travellers aged 16 and 17 may fly alone with no form.

Adding an infant

  1. Open the booking in Manage booking or ask in the chat.
  2. Give the infant's name and date of birth, for each flight.
  3. Confirm the price with the one-time code we send to the email address or mobile number on the booking.

Add an infant until check-in closes, 2 hours before departure. More on our travelling with children and pets page.
