Food and drink on board

Buy on board, pre-order on longer flights, special meals, allergies, alcohol and duty free.

Food and drink are for sale on board every Northly flight, paid by card. On flights of 2 hours 30 minutes or more you can also pre-order a meal, and it is kept for you.

Paying on board

Card only, contactless or chip: Visa or Mastercard, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. There is no cash and no travel credit on board.

The pre-order menu

Prices per passenger per flight. Order until 48 hours before departure.

  • Morning box: yoghurt, granola, fruit, roll (vegetarian): NOK 99 (EUR 9)
  • Chicken and barley hot pot: NOK 139 (EUR 12)
  • Spinach and ricotta lasagne: NOK 139 (EUR 12)
  • Root vegetable and lentil stew: NOK 139 (EUR 12)
  • Baked salmon with potato salad: NOK 139 (EUR 12)
  • Halal chicken and rice: NOK 139 (EUR 12)
  • Kids' box: pasta, fruit, juice: NOK 79 (EUR 7)
  • Cinnamon bun and coffee: NOK 69 (EUR 6)

Special meals

The vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and children's meals are special meals. They are ordered the same way and cost the menu price, and each carries a standard airline code (VLML, VGML, GFML, MOML and CHML) so the crew bring it to the right seat. The kids' box is for passengers aged 2 to 11.

Kosher, Hindu, diabetic, low-salt and other coded meals are not offered.

Allergies

Tell us and we record your allergy as a note on the booking. We cannot promise a nut-free cabin, because other travellers bring their own food.

How to pre-order

  1. Open the booking in Manage booking or ask in the chat.
  2. Choose a meal for each passenger and flight.
  3. Confirm the price with the one-time code we send to the email address or mobile number on the booking.

Inside 48 hours of departure, or on a shorter flight, buy on board. The routes with pre-order meals are on our food and drink page.

Alcohol

Beer, wine and small bottles of spirits are sold on board to travellers aged 18 or over. The crew may ask for identification, and may refuse to serve.

Only alcohol bought on board may be drunk on board. Your own alcohol, including anything from an airport shop, stays sealed until you have left the arrival airport. The crew may refuse boarding to anyone who appears drunk, and that is not denied boarding under EU261; see Denied boarding.

Duty free and airport shopping

Northly sells no duty free on board. One sealed airport shopping bag travels with you in addition to your personal item and cabin bag, as long as it fits under the seat or in the overhead locker. Liquids bought after security stay in the shop's sealed bag, with the receipt.
