Correcting a name
Free fixes, and what counts as a change.
The name on your booking must match your travel document. A small mistake is fixed free; putting a different person on the seat is a name change and has a fee.
Free corrections
These cost nothing until 3 hours before departure:
- A misspelling of up to 3 characters in a name field, such as "Tomsa" for "Tomas"
- A wrong title
- First and last name the wrong way round
- A missing middle name
Name changes
Transferring the booking to a different person is a name change. It costs NOK 679 (EUR 59) per passenger per flight and is possible until 24 hours before departure, never after check-in.
The reason
A correction keeps the same traveller. A name change is a new traveller on a seat that was sold to someone else, which is why it has a price and an earlier cut-off.
How to do it
- Open the booking in Manage booking or ask in the chat.
- Type the name as it is on the passport or identity card.
- We tell you whether it is a correction or a change. A correction is done at once. A change shows its price, and you confirm with the one-time code we send to the email address or mobile number on the booking.
Either kind of edit makes your boarding pass invalid. A new one is issued free.
