Your personal item

The size

40 x 30 x 20 cm under the seat. A small backpack, a handbag or a laptop bag fits. It must go under the seat in front of you.

Why one size for everyone

Space under the seats is the same for everyone, and keeping the personal item to one size means boarding goes quickly and every bag has a place.

What else you can bring free

• A coat and a small item bought at the airport
• Two baby items (a stroller, a car seat or a travel cot) with an infant or a child under 2, checked in free
• Mobility aids and an assistance dog, free on every route

If your bag is bigger

• A cabin bag of 55 x 40 x 23 cm and 10 kg comes with Smart, Plus and Flex, or costs NOK 199 (EUR 18) per flight on Light. See Cabin bags and priority boarding.
• A bag that does not fit the personal item size at the gate goes in the hold, at the airport price for a 20 kg checked bag. See Buying bags at the airport.

Row 1

Row 1 has no storage space in front, so if you sit there your personal item goes in the overhead locker for take-off and landing.
