About Trondheim
Trondheim is a university city on the river Nidelva, built around Nidaros Cathedral, the northernmost medieval cathedral in the world. The coloured warehouses on stilts along the river and the Old Town Bridge are a short walk from the cathedral.
The city is compact and easy to cross on foot or by bike, and the Bakklandet quarter keeps its old wooden houses and small cafes.
