Exit rows
Who can sit there, and why.
Exit rows have extra legroom and a job attached: in an emergency, the people sitting there help open the exit. That is why there are rules.
Where they are
- A320neo: rows 12 and 14
- A321neo: rows 11, 25 and 33
Exit row seats are extra legroom seats: NOK 249 (EUR 22) per passenger per flight on Light, Smart and Plus, included in Flex.
Who can sit there
You can sit in an exit row if you:
- are 16 or over
- are not travelling with an infant
- have no special assistance request on the booking
- can follow crew instructions in English or a Scandinavian language
What happens if the rules are not met
The seat map shows exit row seats as not available for a passenger who does not meet them, and tells you why. If an assistance request is added to a booking, any exit row or row 1 seat is removed and you get another seat. Cabin crew may also move a traveller at the gate who does not meet the rules. Pregnant travellers are not seated in an exit row either. The seat map cannot know about a pregnancy, so the crew check this at the gate.
Other seats with extra legroom
Row 1 is also extra legroom, at the same price and for the same travellers: aged 16 or over, without an infant and with no special assistance request. The language rule is for exit rows only. Row 1 has no under-seat storage in front, because it faces the bulkhead, so your personal item goes in the overhead locker for take-off and landing. Pets cannot travel in row 1 or in an exit row.
